Unlike many other brands, we do things differently. We have our own factories in Jincheon, where we manufacture our core, main ingredient, TECA, ourselves. From sourcing to extraction, the entire process is carefully managed in-house to ensure the highest level of quality and consistency.
What Is TECA?
TECA stands for Titrated Extract of Centella Asiatica.
Centella Asiatica, also known as Cica, is a well-known botanical ingredient loved for its soothing and skin-repairing properties. Ours is sourced from Madagascar, where the optimal climate and soil conditions help produce high-quality Centella leaves.
But not all Centella extracts are the same. Our TECA is created through a meticulous 7-step extraction and purification process after the Centella leaves are brought in. From 100kg of Centella Asiatica, we extract only about 2%, selecting only the most potent, active components.
Because of this selective extraction process, our TECA is:
TECA is particularly valued for its key active compounds: madecassoside, asiaticoside, asiatic acid, and madecassic acid, which are known to help calm irritation, support skin regeneration, and strengthen the skin barrier.
