According to Park Song-hee, Head of Product Planning at Dongkook's Healthcare Business Division, prioritizing product efficacy and stability over rapid launches has been key to the brand’s success. Commitment to Quality and Innovation

Centellian24 was born from Dongkook Pharmaceutical’s 50 years of research and development (R&D) expertise. Leveraging pharmaceutical technology, the brand has developed unique skincare solutions, continuously introducing scientifically backed, high-performance products. Expanding beyond skincare, Centellian24 has recently entered the beauty device market, catering to a wider range of consumer needs.

One of its flagship products, Madeca Cream, features TECA (Titrated Extract of Centella Asiatica), a powerful active ingredient known for strengthening the skin barrier and aiding in skin repair. The company sources Centella leaves from Madagascar, refining them through a seven-step extraction process to maximize their potency. This meticulous approach has resulted in cumulative sales of 68 million units and revenue surpassing 1 trillion KRW as of late last year.

Tailored Solutions for Different Age Groups

Centellian24 has developed specific products for different age groups:

  • Madeca Cream Time Reverse Season 7: Designed for consumers in their 20s and 30s, this cream offers deep hydration and slow-aging care with a soft, whipped texture.
  • Expert Madeca Mela Capture Ampoule & 360° Shot PDRN Serum: Targeting those in their 30s to 50s, these products help with pigmentation, firming, and lifting, with the latter featuring salmon DNA for enhanced skin elasticity.

Looking ahead, Park revealed that Centellian24 is planning a new product tailored for younger consumers, focusing on lightweight hydration by reducing oil content while maintaining strong moisturizing effects.

Expanding into Beauty Devices and Global Markets

Centellian24 has also ventured into beauty devices with the launch of Madeca Prime, a multi-functional skincare device offering three modes: brightening, absorption, and firming. Unlike other devices that require specific skincare products, Madeca Prime can be used with a variety of cosmetics, increasing its versatility.

On the global front, Centellian24 is actively expanding in Japan, the United States, and China, with plans to enter Europe soon. Park noted that each market has different preferences—China favors sheet masks, while the U.S. leans towards beauty devices—and the company is strategically developing region-specific approaches.

Park reaffirmed Centellian24’s commitment to continuous R&D and innovation in derma cosmetics. The brand aims to maintain consumer trust by offering scientifically backed skincare solutions tailored to diverse skin concerns and age groups.
